The agent of Standard Liege's Steven Defour has revealed that he would be delighted to sign for either Aston Villa or Liverpool during the close-season.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Villa Park and Anfield mentioned as possible destinations.
The 16-time capped Belgium international has impressed since moving to Les Rouches from RC Genk in 2006, scoring eight goals in 94 appearances and winning the Belgian Golden Shoe in 2007.
While his representative Paul Stefani has hinted that a decent enough bid could land the 5ft 8in midfielder, he concedes that as yet no firm offers have been launched.
"There has been a lot of interest, but Standard have yet to receive any official bids," Stefani told Nieuwsblad.
"Aston Villa and Liverpool are great clubs where Steven would certainly enjoy playing.
"Would Standard let him go? Everything depends on the offer. Manchester United said Cristiano would not be sold."
