Report: Fulham To Bid For Manchester City's Jo
The Cottagers are preparing an offer in the region of £8 million for the Brazil international striker...
According to a report in the British tabloid The Sun, Fulham are ready to raid Premier League rivals Manchester City for the signing of Jo.
The Cottagers have recently been linked with making a season-long loan offer for the 22-year-old, but it now seems they are hoping to snap him up on a permanent basis.
Apparently, the west London-based outfit have set aside £8 million in the hope of luring the 6ft 2in striker to Craven Cottage during the close-season.
It seems that Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has set his sights on the three-time capped Brazil international after the Cottagers secured their highest ever finish in England's top-flight in the 2008-09 campaign - seventh - and will play in the Europa League next year.
After moving to Eastlands from CSKA Moscow for around £18m last summer, Jo failed to hold down a regular spot in the starting XI and was loaned out to Everton for the latter part of the season, where he scored five goals in 12 appearances.
