According to Sky Sport Italia, Scandinavian duo Olof Mellberg and Christian Poulsen are set to leave Juventus after a single season in Turin. It is reported that the players will relocate to Greek club Panathinaikos and Turkish side Fenerbahce respectively.

Mellberg joined on a free transfer from Premier League club Aston Villa last summer, however, he has failed to impress at the Stadio Olimpico and Juve have reportedly accepted a €3 million offer from Panathinaikos, who have outbid city rivals Olympiacos.

Mellberg should sign on the dotted line over the next few hours and it is also suggested that Brazilian defensive midfielder Gilberto Silva could move to Turin in part-exchange.

Poulsen controversially joined the Old Lady from Sevilla in a €9.75m deal last year, amid protests from the Bianconeri fans, who had set their sights on Liverpool midfield ace Xabi Alonso.

The Danish international, partly because of injury problems, failed to prove his doubters wrong and negotiations for a switch to Fenerbahce are at an advanced stage.

The Turkish club’s president, Aziz Yildirim, has flown to Turin with a €6.5m offer, and although Juve are still holding out for €7.5m, the parties are expected to come to an agreement by the end of the week.
