Report: Lyon Meet With Porto To Discuss Lisandro Lopez & Aly Cissokho
It seems that the French outfit have stepped up their interest in the Porto duo...
The Paris-based publication suggests that Lopez is the primary source of interest for Lyon. The Ligue 1 side also took the chance to receive a quote for Cissokho, who is believed to be valued at around €12 million by the French sports paper, though A Bola stated yesterday that the young full-back is worth €14m .
Meanwhile, Lopez, who registered ten Portuguese Liga goals last season and an impressive six in the Champions League, is thought to have a €20m price-tag hanging round his neck – a figure that is likely to make Lyon baulk.
Les Gones will not be deterred from seeking other alternatives to the 26-year-old Argentine forward. Indeed, France Football suggests that Claude Puel’s men are examining the possibility of re-signing Loic Remy, who left the Stade Gerland around 12 months ago to join Nice.
Remy has enjoyed a fine season on the Mediterranean coast, establishing himself as one of France’s brightest young forwards by netting 11 times in 32 league starts.
Although the player and his agent were unavailable for comment yesterday Remy has previously indicated his willingness to return to the Rhone Valley. “Lyon is still in a corner of my head, it is the club of my heart, where I played as a young man and where I have my family, where I want to play and improve,” he said. “But if I do not wish to go back, I do not have to.”
