thumbnail Hello,

The Austrian international has reportedly snubbed interest from Chelsea after a meeting with the ‘Special One’.

Inter could wrap up a deal for Twente sensation Marko Arnautovic over the next few hours, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti has given technical director Marco Branca the go-ahead to complete negotiations with the Eredivisie outfit.

The 20-year-old, who netted 12 goals in 28 league appearances this term, has also attracted interest from Premier League powerhouse Chelsea, who have allegedly outbid the Serie A champions with a €15 million offer and a contract for the player worth €2.5m per season.

However, Inter are expected to win the race to lure the towering marksman to the San Siro by paying a fee in the region of €10m.

Arnautovic has reportedly plumped for the Beneamata after meeting with coach Jose Mourinho, who has reassured the rising star that he will be brought straight into the first team next season. Rumours had suggested that Chelsea were keen to send him out on loan.

The Austrian international should get a wage packet of around €2m per year in Milan and an official announcement from the Nerazzurri is expected shortly.
