Bayern Munich To Rival Premier League Suitors For Portsmouth's Glen Johnson - Report
Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have a rival for the England international defender's signature, according to one British tabloid...
According to a report in the British tabloid The People, German giants Bayern Munich could spark a bidding war for Portsmouth's Glen Johnson at the end of the season.
It is claimed that the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are all keen to keep the 24-year-old in the Premier League next season.
But the newspaper insists that Die Bayern have already contacted Pompey about the 13-time capped England international's availability this summer.
While it is thought that the south coast club will indeed cash in on the right-sided full-back, they will, apparently, hold out for at least €17 million (£15m).
Since joining Portsmouth for €4.5m (£4m) from Chelsea in 2007, following a successful loan spell at Fratton Park the previous season, Johnson has scored four goals in 72 appearances.
