Report: Inter Prepare Bid For Fiorentina Star Felipe Melo
The Nerazzurri are keen to bring the Brazilian to the San Siro and are ready to use Nicolas Burdisso as bait.
Felipe Melo has made a big impression in his first season in Serie A after joining Fiorentina from Spanish club Almeria last summer and La Gazzetta dello Sport today reports Italian giants Inter are set to challenge Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid for his services during the close season.
Fiorentina paid €8 million to land the Brazilian international, but a clause in his current deal would allow him to leave Florence for €22.5m.And Inter could sweeten the pot by offering the services of Argentine centre-back Nicolas Burdisso.
The 28-year-old was tracked by the Gigliati last summer following the departure of Tomas Ujfalusi for Atletico Madrid.
Real Madrid are rumoured to be keeping tabs on Melo and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has also reportedly shown an interest in the midfielder, who made his international debut with the Selecao in a friendly match against Italy last February.
