Report: Napoli Ace Ezequiel Lavezzi Keen On Juventus Move

The player’s representatives have allegedly met with the Old Lady directors and 'El Pocho' is ready to agree to the transfer.

Argentine international striker Ezequiel Lavezzi is eager to leave Napoli for Juventus this summer, according to Turin-based daily Tuttosport.

It is reported that the representative for the ex-San Lorenzo man, Alejandro Mazzoni, and his associate, Luis Rossetto, have already met with Bianconeri general manager Jean-Claude Blanc and director of sport Alessio Secco.

The meeting took place in the office of lawyer Michele Briamonte, who is frequently the man in charge of drawing up contracts for the club’s new recruits.

Lavezzi is tied to the Partenopei until June 2013 and earns wages of around €1 million per season at the San Paolo, but Juve have proposed a five-year deal until 2014 worth €2.5m per yet.

Tuttosport alleges that Lavezzi’s agent was more than happy with the Bianconeri’s offer and the Argentine would gladly make the move Turin, rejecting bids from Premier League sides Manchester City and Liverpool, who have also been linked with ‘El Pocho’ in recent weeks.

However, Napoli boss Roberto Donadoni will have the last word. The former Italy coach took charge of the Vesuviani last March and was reassured that the club’s future would revolve around top stars Lavezzi and Marek Hamsik.

But Aurelio De Laurentiis, the Azzurri’s President, has changed his tune in recent weeks and admitted they would not be able to turn down big offers for their prized assets.

Inter are also monitoring the situation and have reportedly tabled a bid of €20m cash plus the services of Nelson Rivas and the loan of Robert Acquafresca.
