Press reports in the peninsula have claimed over the past few days that Milan had targeted Manchester United central defender Nemanja Vidic to bolster their ageing back-line.
However, one of the player's agents, Silvano Martina, has quickly refuted the suggestions in an exclusive interview with Goal.com.
“No way, this is just some crazy rubbish,” he said.
“I have already spoken with the journalist who wrote the article and explained that there is no truth in this report.
“Vidic loves it in Manchester and will stay put.”
Milan have already addresed the question of defensive reinforcements for the next Serie A campaign, bringing in Brazilian duo Felipe Mattioni and Thiago Silva in January, but will look to add to their ranks further over the summer, as captain Paolo Maldini will call it a day at the end of the season and Alessandro Nesta could follow suit, as he is still struggling with chronic back problems.
