Palermo Eyeing Rocchi In Case Pazzini Move Fails

Palermo have a back-up plan in case they fail to sign Giampaolo Pazzini from Fiorentina...

A solitary goal from Tommaso Rocchi was enough to give Lazio victory over ten-men Palermo (Grazia Neri)

Even though both striker Tommaso Rocchi and his agent have categorically denied there is any chance he will leave Lazio any time soon, the player's future with the Biancocelesti seems anything but certain.

According to Italian TV show Studio Sport, it seems that Palermo have set their sights on signing the Italian international in case they fail in their bid to sign Giampaolo Pazzini from Fiorentina.

The Rosanero know that Rocchi is not on the best of terms with part of Lazio's management, and want the player to form a dynamic duo with countryman Fabrizio Miccoli, with whom  he would surely form a first-rate attacking pair.

Palermo have had an inconsistent start to the season, and they are currently in 9th place with 23 points. Interestingly enough, they have conceded exactly as many goals as they've scored: 21.
