Crespo On His Way To Sampdoria Or Palermo

Inter striker Hernan Crespo will inevitably be on his way out of Inter, likely to Palermo or Sampdoria...

All in a day's work. Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo, currently targeted by Real Madrid, wipes his brow during one of the Nerazzurri's matches (Grazia Neri)

Inter's Hernan Crespo was an option for Real Madrid to replace the injured Ruud Van Nistelrooy, but instead the Spanish champions have acquired Klaas-Jan Huntelaar of Ajax.

This means that Crespo has one less option should he choose to leave the Nerazzurri in Janaury, but still has suitors in the form of Palermo and Sampdoria.

The former Lazio striker has found himself in Jose Mourinho's doghouse for the most part, left off the squad's Champions League squad and receiving extremely little playing time. Thus, he will likely be on his way in January.

Both Sampdoria and Palermo are in the market for an experienced striker and 33-year-old Crespo would seem to fit the bill, according to tuttomercato web. Sampdoria are looking for a hitman to play alongside Antonio Cassano and the Rosanero want another option alongside Fabrzio Miccoli.

Any deal would likely be in the form of a loan until the end of the campaign, when a permanent transfer would be completed.
