Cuauhtémoc Blanco Loaned From Chicago To Santos
Chicago Fire forward Cuauhtémoc Blanco will join Mexican club Santos Laguna in the Liguilla on loan to reinforce the team due to the injury absence of Ecuadorean striker Christian Benítez.

"It's a fact, Cuauhtémoc will be with us," informed the club official.
Irraragori indicated that the Chicago Fire forward has the experience and talent to reinforce the current champion in the defense of their title.
"We consider that he has the characteristics of a warrior, he has great spirit and he will integrate to continue lifting the emotions of our faithful," he added.
'El Cuau' will replace Santos striker, Christian Benítez, who will be out of action for three months with an injury to his right leg. Mexican league regulations allow the Torreon side to seek a reinforcement.
The former América captain will join Santos on loan and will only be available for Liguilla matches.
Blanco will arrive in good form and rhythm having recently participated in the Eastern Conference finals of the MLS. The forward had a positive season with the Chicago Fire, with seven goals and 11 assists.
In the quarterfinals of the Torneo Apertura 2008, Santos will host superlider San Luis this following Sunday in the first match of their series.
