Schuster Clueless Over New Deal
Real Madrid coach, Bernd Schuster, admits that he knows nothing about a contract renewal despite reports in Spain claiming that a new deal was on the horizon.
The coach has recently
hit-out at the club for not being clear with him regarding transfers this
summer.
A number of reports in Spain claimed that the German was up for an improved deal following his success at the helm last term.
However, Schuster believes there is more chance of Cristiano Ronaldo signing for the club rather than getting a new and improved contract.
“A new contract? I think it’s just another invention and I don’t know anything,” the coach told AS.
“There would be more chance of Ronaldo arriving than a new contract.”
The chief also spoke about Rafael Van der Vaart who has been linked with the club recently.
“Van der Vaart? He was being lined up as an alternative to Ronaldo in case he doesn’t arrive,” concluded Schuster.
Reports in Spain this morning claim that Ronaldo is on the verge of joining Los Merengues. The Portuguese international announced his plan to tell his manager he wants out of Old Trafford.
