Serbia tight-lipped about racism investigation
The White Eagles official has ensured that analysis of the ill-tempered incidents is ongoing, and promises some "very interesting information" when the results are published
Serbia general secretary Zoran Lakovic has commented on the current investigation into the events that followed their Under-21 match against England in Krusevac.After a last-minute goal by Connor Wickham secured the Young Lions' progress to Euro 2013 ugly clashes erupted between the players and staff on both sides, while Sunderland full-back Danny Rose was allegedly racially abused.
"We are conducting an internal investigation, analysing every detail and talking with a lot of people and I can tell you we have some very interesting information," the Serbia – Football Against Racism executive told reporters.
"We have reviewed our CCTV footage and many people will be surprised when they see the results of our investigation," he continued.
"I think we will come out very soon with our findings, certainly before Uefa finishes its investigation. Until then I do not want to talk about anything regarding this subject."
Uefa has opened disciplinary proceedings against the Serbia Football Association.
