Chelsea are reportedly on the verge of landing Partizan attacking midfielder Lazar Markovic, for a fee in the region of €7 million, according to Blic.
The 18-year-old, who earned his first cap for Serbia on February 28 against Armenia, is understood to have been personally recommended by Partizan coach Avram Grant to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
Usually deployed as a second striker, Markovic has made 31 appearances for the Serbian giants this season and was named the Partizan Player of the Year for 2011-12 by fans of the Belgrade outfit.
The only remaining detail is whether Markovic will remain at Partizan on loan for next season or whether he will join the Blues during the summer transfer window.
Markovic already revealed his dream to play for the Blues in February, citing his admiration for Didier Drogba.
