A goal from Dejan Stankovic just before half-time gave Inter a 1-0 win over Roma in the semi-final first-leg of their Coppa Italia clash, and full-back Yuto Nagatomo was pleased with the efforts of the squad in securing the win.
The Japanese defender, who joined the world champions on loan from Cesena in January, was part of the starting line-up, and was encouraged by the attitude of the players after what has been a difficult run of results.
The 24-year-old told the media afterwards: "We prepared the game with the captain [Javier Zanetti]. The team were very united, we wanted to win and we did.
"It was a very tough game but we never lost concentration and we earned a major victory."
The second-leg of the tie will take place at San Siro on May 11.
