Getafe Coach Michel Treating Sevilla Showdown Like A League Game
He says his team will approach the cup game no different to a normal league tie...
By Paul Madden
Getafe coach Michel has declared that his team will approach tonight's Copa del Rey semifinal second leg against Sevilla as though it were just another league game.
Geta trail 2-0 from the first leg but Michel points to the fact that they beat the Andalusian outfit away in the league prior to the winter break and have enough quality in their armoury to do so again.
"It's a normal game and we will treat it normally. If we play like we did there, where we had seven or eight chances, and we manage to convert two of them then the game goes into extra-time," he declared at a press conference.
"There is much talk of a comeback, but if we manage 2-0 then we go into extra-time. Therefore, we must face it like a league game where you have to win and overcome an advantage.
"It's been a normal week, we look forward to the game and won't encourage nor lower the euphoria."
