The Brazilian returned to the club last summer from Real Madrid but admitted recently that he saw his long-term future in Major League Soccer.
However, he is eager to continue representing the Rossoneri and is determined to help improve the struggling Serie A side's fortunes.
"I'm loved here. I've been very happy this year," Kaka is quoted as saying by the club's official website.
"Perhaps the team's results were not positive - I wanted to help get better results - but it was a good year.
"I'm finding the right role on the pitch. I always try to lend a hand. It's true that the fewer defensive duties I have, the better, but I always want to be hopeful.
"I'm glad I came, I'm happy here. I've still got a year's contract.
"Europa League qualification is the goal. I don't know what will happen with [coach Clarence] Seedorf, but we are with him and want to reach the Europa League."
Kaka missed out on a place in Brazil's World Cup squad but insists that he is not overly disappointed with Luiz Felipe Scolari's decision.
"I'm sorry that I'm not going to the World Cup, but I'm not sad because I did everything I could and the coach's choices have to be respected," he explained.
"I'm disappointed, but not sad."
