Kwadwo Asamoah has conceded that Fiorentina made life difficult for Juventus after the Serie A leaders ran out 1-0 winners on Sunday.
The Ghana international played a key role in the win by scoring the only goal of the game shortly before the break as the Bianconeri moved 14 points clear of second-placed Roma, who play Napoli on Sunday night.
"It wasn’t easy to play against a top side like Fiorentina, so I’m pleased with the result," the midfielder told the official Juventus website.
"We gained three important points here."
The 25-year-old then went on to reflect on his goal and admitted that he did not expect his right-footed strike to go in.
"The boss often tells me, ‘Try cutting inside’. I’m giving it a go all the time at the moment and today it went well.
"I’ve never scored a right-footed goal before, let alone one as good as that."
Asamoah has netted twice in 24 Serie A appearances so far this term.
