The CEO praised his team after they increased their lead at the top of Serie A, but warns there is room for improvement in European competitions
Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta is delighted with the team defeated AC Milan 2-0 on Sunday despite being up against it for much of the match.
The Scudetto holders beat the Rossoneri 2-0 thanks to goals from Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez and the victory has seen them increase their lead to 11 points at the top of the Serie A after second-placed Roma could only draw against Inter.
"I want to recognise the great quality that this group has," the club CEO told Sky Sport. "They have done a great job and got a very important victory.
"Milan worried us. We know you can suffer against them but we have proven ourselves to be strong."
Marotta went on to praise head coach Antonio Conte and his team, but he still believes there is room for improvement in continental competitions.
"We are a large group led by a great coach but everything can be improved," he added. "Especially in a European perspective, but at the moment it is too early to talk about this."
