The Argentine striker was delighted with his side's victory and feels Christian Abbiati had little chance with his goalJuventus star Carlos Tevez has underlined the importance of Sunday's win over AC Milan in the race for the Serie A title.
Goals from Fernando Llorente and Tevez either side of the break helped the reigning champions to victory at San Siro and the Argentine attacker was quick to stress how vital it was for Juventus to take all three points.
"Sunday's win was incredibly important," Tevez told Sky Sport Italia.
"We knew that Roma hadn't won against Inter and it was vital to get three points – even if this match was worth more than that."
Tevez effectively put the match to bed with a well-taken shot midway through the second half and he feels Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati never stood a chance.
"The ball dipped very sharply, that's what stopped the goalkeeper from saving it. I don't think he could do anything about it."
Juventus now hold an 11-point lead over Roma, who have one game in hand.
