The Serbia international is in line to feature against his former club on Saturday and is determined to seal a valuable three points at Artemio Franchi
The Nerazzurri have lost just once in their last 17 meetings with the Viola - a 4-1 thrashing in the same fixture last season - but last week's 1-0 win over Sassuolo was their first in a miserable start to 2014.
Kuzmanovic played for Fiorentina from 2007 to 2009 and admits Saturday's game is like no other for him and is desperate to come away with a win to keep Inter's European hopes alive.
"It's not a game like any other for me, seeing as I played with the Viola," he told Inter Channel.
"It is always wonderful to come back to Florence, even if my last game here didn't go well. We want to do everything possible to win and that way we can reduce the gap from the Tuscans in the table.
"Fiorentina are an excellent side who pass the ball around a lot in midfield, while Juan Cuadrado scores so many - we've got to be wary of him.
"They have strong players, but so do we. I believe in our squad and we will go to Florence in order to win, because we need the three points.
"Seeing as the Viola are very quick on the counterattack, I'll be required to close down the spaces."
Saturday's encounter kicks off at 20:45CET.
