The Ivorian is back in the Giallorossi squad for Monday's clash with Cagliari after recovering from a hamstring injuryRudi Garcia has hailed Gervinho as a "unique" attacker ahead of Roma's meeting with Cagliari on Monday.
The Ivorian has been out of action since mid-October due to a hamstring problem, but has been included in the squad to face Ivo Pulga's side at Stadio Olimpico.
Garcia is pleased to have the former Arsenal man back in contention following two consecutive Serie A draws for the Giallorossi.
"What does Gervinho's comeback mean? It gives us more opportunities," he said. "I believe he has got a unique profile as a player.
"With him I have more solutions. He tends to get behind the opposition defence and he dribbles well.
"His comeback is important, but Gervinho, like all my other strikers, relies on the rest of the team. If we play well and keep the ball in the last 30 metres we can be very dangerous."
Monday's game is set to go ahead despite Garcia's frustration at the timing of the fixture, with the former Lille boss questioning the decision to stage the match just 48 hours after Italy faced Argetnina in a rugby international on the same pitch.
A win for Roma will see them move back to the top of Serie A, ahead of Juventus, who won 2-0 against Livorno on Sunday.
