The 27-year-old believes that Neil Lennon's men are unfortunate to be leaving Italy without anything from their clash with the Rossoneri, as two late goals downed the ScotsAC Milan midfielder Urby Emanuelson has admitted that his team owe their 2-0 victory over Celtic in the Champions League to luck.
The Scottish champions had held Massimiliano Allegri's men at bay for some 82 minutes at San Siro on Wednesday, before Cristian Zapata opened the scoring via a deflection off Emilio Izaguirre.
Sulley Muntari was on hand to kill off the contest four minutes later, but Emanuelson believes lady luck was shining on the Rossoneri to send them on their way to victory.
"You can call this a typical Milan victory," he told reporters. "We got lucky with the 1-0, but it was a tough game for us.
"We started really well, but after that we collapsed. The most important is that we win our first group match today."
The Italian giants are suffering a well-documented injury crisis at present, with no fewer than 12 members of the squad unavailable for selection.
Milan resume their domestic campaign with a clash against Napoli on Sunday.
