thumbnail Hello,

The Giallorossi interim boss says he has no regrets after losing the final to Lazio and publicly falling out with one of his squad members

Roma boss Aurelio Andreazzoli says he would the same decisions again after the 1-0 Coppa Italia final defeat to rivals Lazio.

Pablo Osvaldo was involved in a bust-up with the Italian coach after being brought on with 14 minutes remaining. The confrontation continued on Twitter where the Argentine labelled his coach "incompetent".

But the 59-year-old remained defiant.

“I would without doubt make the same decisions again,” Andreazzoli told RAI Sport following the loss.

“I wanted responses from my players and a battle emerged on the field that was very hard fought. As often happens in these cases, a moment of luck tends to be decisive.

“Roma weren’t very dangerous, but neither were Lazio. It was a balanced encounter and nobody wanted to lose, of course. We rather cancelled each other out.

“I didn’t like this game in terms of technique, but I was impressed with the passion and determination on show.”

In a tense, equal and hotly contested clash Senad Lulic's winner 19 minutes from time handed the trophy to the Biancocelesti.

The Coppa Italia final could have been Andreazzoli's last game in the Roma dugout where he took over an interim basis from Zdenek Zeman in early February.

“I am really not thinking about my future," he continued.

"If the media do, then that’s their problem. We have time to discuss matters and I don’t see why I should think about it now. My future is just getting over this disappointment.

“Of course I am here to help Roma in any way they need me.

"I was fortunate to work with this group of players, it was a great adventure and we achieved some excellent results.

"We were looking for the icing on the cake, but didn’t find it."
