Inter remind me of my Juventus, says Felipe Melo

The holding midfielder is still closely following events in Serie A and sees similarities between the Giuseppe Meazza side and the current Scudetto holders
Galatasaray loanee Felipe Melo has compared Inter's situation this season to that of Juventus in the 2009-10 campaign.

Inter were beaten 5-2 by Udinese on Sunday to finish this term in ninth place after a string of disappointing results in the second half of the season and their sudden decline has reminded Melo of what happened to Juve in his first year at the club after joining them from Fiorentina.

"I still follow Serie A closely. Inter reminded me of Juventus the season after Diego and I had joined the club. A good start, but then things went bad after a number of injuries," Melo told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Juventus secured the Serie A title well before the end of the season, plus I liked Napoli and AC Milan as well.

"Juve have a very strong squad, though, and have a lot of quality as well as a good coach in [Antonio] Conte. They were simply stronger than the rest."

Melo, 29, eventually failed to make an impact at Juventus and was shipped out on loan to Galatasaray in the summer of 2011.

The midfielder has a contract with Juve until June 2015, but is widely expected to leave the club on a permanent basis this summer.
