Alessandro Matri has stressed that he is keen to stay at Juventus and feels the Serie A champions' current crop of attackers deserves more respect.
The Turin giants have been linked with a host of high-profile strikers in the past few months, and will welcome Fernando Llorente from Athletic Bilbao this summer, but Matri has every intention of staying to fight for his place in the side.
"I want to stay here and be a part of this group of strikers," Matri was quoted as saying on the official Juventus website.
"This constant talk of top players has somewhat overshadowed the great work of our attackers.
"Obviously you need the quality of champions to be able to win in Europe, but I think that after two Scudetto titles, people should give credit to those who have helped achieve them."
Matri has netted eight goals in 21 Serie A appearances this term.
