The Nerazzurri have endured a campaign of mixed fortunes to date, but victory over Parma in their last outing has left them six points off rivals AC Milan in the final Champions League spot, and Juan insists his side have not given up hope of overhauling their neighbours.
“It has been a difficult season. We have lost some games, but we are still here and we believe that we can make third place," he told Sky Sport Italia.
“We have to do everything to get there, and we have to do well in the remaining games. But we believe we can do it."
Inter's inconsistencies have lead to speculation that Andrea Stramaccioni could depart the club in the summer, but Juan has stressed that the squad is fully behind the young coach.
“We are with the coach until the end," he said. "He is a good coach and we hope to spend many years together with him. Next year he will still be here, and we want to come back stronger than ever."
Another who Juan hopes to see at Guiseppe Meazza for some time yet is goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, who has reportedly attracted the interest of Barcelona in recent weeks due to his fine form."He is the best keeper I've worked with, I love playing with him, I hope €30 million won't be enough to sign him because he's so good," Juan said of the Slovenian.
