AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani believes that the Rossoneri are on the same level as Juventus and is confident that they can challenge the Bianconeri for the Scudetto next term.
The San Siro outfit are currently trailing the reigning champions by 15 points ahead of Sunday's clash, but Galliani has stressed that things would have been different had they not had such a difficult start following the departure of several key players.
"Juventus have been back among the elite for two years now. Last season we pushed them right to the end," Galliani told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We’ve been getting the same results as them now for the last 24 rounds and I don’t think that we’re inferior to Antonio Conte’s team.
"If both teams have the same squad next season, they won’t be 15 points ahead after eight matches. We paid the price of so many players leaving in the summer."
Sunday's match in Turin is scheduled to kick off at 20:45CET.
