Napoli striker Goran Pandev believes his side deserve to finish in second place in Serie A ahead of AC Milan.
The Partenopei drew 1-1 with the Rossoneri on Sunday and the the 29-year-old is certain that only Juventus are better than them in the table.
"We deserve the second place behind Juve," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"We changed our way of playing, and I feel good. The team comes first, we have to defend second place until the end of the season."
Looking back at the result, Pandev said he was happy to take a point from the San Siro clash, even if coach Walter Mazzarri wasn't.
"Tonight it was important not to lose. The result is right, but we have to think about doing better and better," he continued.
"The coach is never happy, we are committed. We have still so much potential to grow, we are missing the last step to become a great team. Nevertheless we play great football."
Pandev scored five goals in his 27 Serie A appearances for the Partenopei this season.
