thumbnail Hello,

The Rossoneri defender is confident that his side will qualify for the European competition next term, and insists he wants to remain at San Siro beyond this summer

AC Milan centre-back Daniele Bonera is eyeing Champions League football with his club in the 2013-14 campaign, as he feels a second-place finish is realistic this season.

Massimiliano Allegri's men currently sit third in Serie A, two points behind second-placed Napoli, and Bonera is certain his team have what it takes to leapfrog the Partenopei at some point during the remaining campaign.

"Juventus are having an incredible season, but second place can be reached," the Italy veteran told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We've done some extraordinary things over these last few months. Second in the table is achievable, but we still have two hard months left which will include a number of head-to-head games."

Bonera also remarked that he would be happy to stay at San Siro and help contribute to Milan's success in the future.

"I hope that I can move forward with this club," the out-of-favour defender continued. "I've been at Milan for seven years and I’d like to continue here."

After the international break, the Rossoneri will resume Serie A action with a trip to Chievo on March 30.
