thumbnail Hello,

The experienced attacker is determined to return to the pitch as soon as possible and is not contemplating hanging up his boots just yet

Diego Milito has made it clear he is not thinking about retiring or leaving Inter as he is completely focused on returning to full match fitness.

The Argentine striker sustained a serious knee injury in the Europa League match against Cluj in February, leading to speculation that he could hang up his boots or leave the Nerazzurri for a return to his native country.

Nevertheless, Milito has stressed that returning to the pitch is the only thing on his mind for now.

"My future? I expect to start playing again. There's just one goal in my head right now and that's to try and make a good recovery and get back on the pitch," the Argentine said to Inter Channel.

"Will I end my career at Inter? I honestly don't know. I’ve always said that I’d like to go back to Argentina and play with the club I started with. You never know.

"Now I’m focused on recovering and getting back on the pitch. I don’t know what will happen after that."

The 33-year-old attacker has scored nine goals in 20 Serie A appearances this term.
