Zoff: Buffon is Juventus' best-ever goalkeeper
The legendary shot-stopper believes that the 35-year-old Bianconeri skipper has surpassed the likes of Giampiero Combi after spending the last 12 years in Turin
Legendary Italy goalkeeper Dino Zoff has believes that Gianluigi Buffon is the greatest Juventus shot-stopper of all time.
The 35-year-old moved to the Turin club in 2001, and has been a mainstay in the Bianconeri first team ever since, taking on the club's captaincy along the way.
“The number one of all Juventus’ history is Buffon,” Zoff told Tuttosport.
“Giampiero Combi was a great goalkeeper in his day, but currently, Buffon is at the top, and the most important thing is to maintain his performance.
“Zoff? Well he is among the top.”
Antonio Conte’s side are currently top of Serie A, four points ahead of Napoli in second place, despite a 1-0 defeat away to Roma last Saturday.
