Guidolin refuses to discuss Udinese future

The Zebrette boss says he is concentrating solely on his side's next clash with Siena and will not be drawn into speculation as to whether his time at the club is coming to an end

Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin has refused to discuss his future following his side's 4-0 defeat to league leaders Juventus.

The Zebrette were beaten convincingly on Saturday, with the result leaving the club in 10th position in the Serie A table and Guidolin insists he is focusingly solely on the next game.

The former Parma boss told reporters: “The next match against Siena is all I am thinking about, I will not respond to questions about my future.

“In the football world, whatever you say is likely to give rise to different interpretations. We have many obstacles to overcome before the end of the season, and I will not leave room for speculation that may disturb my team.”

The 57-year-old has led Udinese to third and fourth place finishes in Serie A since joining the club in 2010, though a repeat of those lofty heights appears unlikely at present.
