Ranocchia: Inter always kept believing
The Italy international was overjoyed with the Nerazzurri's Coppa victory over Bologna, and stressed that they were certain of progression throughout the encounter
Andrea Ranocchia has insisted that Inter never had any doubts that they would reach the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia at the expense of Bologna. The Giuseppe Meazza side appeared to be on their way to a comfortable 2-0 victory, but Alessandro Diamanti and Manolo Gabbiadini both found the net in the final 10 minutes to make it 2-2.
However, Ranocchia eventually helped Inter through with a goal in the closing seconds of extra-time.
"We kept believing right up to the end. It was a great match for us in the end," the defender was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"The main thing is that we got the win. We were really determined to come out victorious.
"Bologna were very good up front, but we managed to cope with them. We're delighted with the result."
Inter will have to deal with either Roma or Fiorentina in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.
