Vucinic: No prima donnas at Juventus
By Stefan Coerts
Jan 10, 2013 8:20:00 AM
The attacker has voiced his satisfaction with the team spirit at the Scudetto holders, and has made it clear that he is nearing full match fitness again
Mirko Vucinic has hailed the positive attitude of the Juventus squad as he feels every player puts the team's interests ahead of personal glory. The Montenegro international netted the winner in the Old Lady's 2-1 Coppa Italia quarter-final win over AC Milan on Wednesday, but he insisted that it is not about personal success for anybody at Juve.
"There aren’t any prima donnas at Juventus. Everyone here gives their all from the first minute until the last and helps out their team-mates," Vucinic was quoted as saying on the official Juventus website.
"It’s our spirit that makes this team unique."
The attacker then went on to discuss his fitness and made it clear that he is on his way back.
"I’m still not at the top of my game, but my condition is improving, even if I’m still yet to get a full 90 minutes under my belt.
"I’d like to thank the club’s medical staff who are handling my recovery well."
Vucinic has netted seven goals in 23 official appearances for Juventus this term.
