The Rossoneri president has backed his side’s decision to call a halt to their match with Pro Patria after Kevin-Prince Boateng was targeted by opposition fansAC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has claimed that his side will always leave the pitch if they are subjected to racist abuse, regardless of the occasion.
Kevin-Prince Boateng was victimised by opposition fans during Thursday's midseason friendly with Pro Patria, leading to the Rossoneri taking the decision to leave the field of play.
"In the future, if there are situations like the one with Boateng yesterday, Milan will leave the pitch, even in international matches," Berlusconi told Skysport24.
"I talked with Boateng and I said 'good work' for his behaviour. This situation happens all too often, and it's against the game of football."
Milan resume action after the winter hiatus by hosting Siena on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled at 15:00CET.
