Niang is making good progress at Milan, says Allegri
The Rossoneri coach has offered the attacker words of encouragement, and is pleased with his progress since his summer transfer
AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has voiced his satisfaction with the development of promising youngster M'Baye Niang. The 17-year-old joined Milan from Caen in the summer transfer window, and has been included in the Rossoneri squad for Thursday's Coppa Italia match against Reggina.
"Niang is very good in front of the goal, and he's also a quick learner," Allegri stated at a press conference.
"He is a versatile striker who can play both as a centre forward and as a second striker. He still needs to improve, but he's developing well.
"I considered starting him against Reggina. He will probably get playing time. And we could include him in our list of players for the Champions League next month."
Niang has made two Serie A appearances for Milan so far, but has yet to score his first goal for the club.
