Lazio's Hernanes has admitted that he is ready for a recall to the Brazil national team as he prepares to make his 100th appearance for the club on Sunday.
The 27-year-old featured intermittently in the Mano Menezes era, with just eight caps since making his debut back in 2008, but with new coach Luiz Felipe Scolari at the helm, the former Sao Paulo player is in line for a return ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
"I have confidence in myself and I will take up a place in the national team," Hernanes told Corriere dello Sport.
"It's happened so fast, it seems like I arrived in Rome only yesterday. Instead I will feature against Parma in my 100th game with the Biancoceleste in two years and four months!
"I dedicate my first 100 appearances for Lazio to the fans and to my team-mates. They are the secret of my success."
Scolari has already endorsed the Biancoceleste midfielder soon after being appointed, adding weight to a possible return for Hernanes.
"Hernanes is having a great season at Lazio. I am following him."
