The Rossoneri struggled to find their best form in the opening months of the season as Allegri seemed to be unsure as to which formation suited the team best, but good results against Napoli and Juventus indicate that they are on the right track now.
"I think our coach knows exactly what he wants. He knows exactly what he needs to do," Amelia told Milan Channel.
"I understand that he thinks that the right formation for us and our future is a 4-3-3. In previous matches he changed a few things to test out our new players, but now we are going ahead with this formation towards our true identity."
Milan climbed to ninth spot in the table following their win over Juventus at the weekend.
