Juventus are doing very well this season, says Giovinco
The Bianconeri forward has brushed aside criticism directed at the reigning Italian champions, claiming that everything is going in a positive direction for his team
Juventus attacker Sebastian Giovinco believes that his side are finally on the right track both domestically and in Europe.
The Serie A holders claimed a convincing 3-0 victory over Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday, and are currently at the summit of the domestic league with 32 points from 13 games.
Despite the favourable developments recently, Antonio Conte's side have still courted criticism, which, according to Giovinco, is completely undeserved.
"The most important thing is that we are first in the standings and still in the race for the Champions League after beating the European champions," the former Parma attacker told Sky Sport 24.
"I do not care for the criticism of my performances or my team's. What is more important is that we are doing well. We won the Italian Super Cup and we are a great team. I believe that all these doubts about us have been excessive."Our goal is to continue doing well in all competitions. We are a top side."
The Italy international then took his time to praise another rising star of Italian football, AC Milan's Stephan El Shaarawy, who has been making waves in Serie A this season.
“El Shaarawy is a great player and he really is making a difference for Milan at the moment."
