Klinsmann: Stramaccioni can make a name for himself at Inter
The USA boss has said although the young coach is lacking in experience, there is no reason why he cannot go on and win the Scudetto with the club the striker used to play for
United States coach Jurgen Klinsmann believes that Inter trainer Andrea Stramaccioni has the potential to lead the German's former club to success and emulate other Italian greats.Having suffered a 3-2 defeat at Atalanta on Sunday - leaving them four points behind Juventus - the Milan outfit are now looking to bounce back when they host Cagliari this weekend.
And Klinsmann, who won the World Cup with West Germany in 1990, insists the Nerazzurri under the 36-year-old's guidance can be successful.
“Stramaccioni is not as famous as Giovanni Trapattoni, Arrigo Sacchi, Fabio Capello or Carlo Ancelotti, but he is making a name for himself,” the 48-year-old told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He could win the Scudetto because a coach who wins 10 games in a row has to be good and has to have a team that follows him.
“Experience counts, but a debutant can have an innocence that can change games.
“Results also arrive thanks to the relationship he has with the club and with the older players in his squad.
“Inter seem to be on the right path, despite the loss at Atalanta.”
Klinsmann appeared 95 times as a striker for Inter from 1989-1992, scoring 34 goals for the club.
