The centre-back has nothing but praise for the his Inter team-mate, and feels coach Andrea Stramaccioni is the right man to lead the Nerazzurri to successInter defender Andrea Ranocchia has stressed that he would pick his team-mate Antonio Cassano over AC Milan star Stephan El Shaarawy if he had to make a choice between the two.
The 30-year-old has developed into a key player for the Nerazzurri after he was offloaded by the Rossoneri in the summer transfer window, and his colleague has nothing but praise for the creative attacker.
"Who I would pick if I had to choose between Cassano and El Shaarawy? I'd keep hold of Cassano," the defender told RTL 102.5.
"He's a different class, someone who brings the squad together, and it's always nice to have players like him in the dressing room."
Ranocchia then had his say on head coach Andrea Stramaccioni, and praised the Inter boss' methods.
"Stramaccioni is a good coach. He's young, he has still got a long way to go, but he immediately put across his ideas to the squad and he continues to do so.
"This is the most important aspect of the job he has done, having said that it's only the start of the season and we'll see where we are come the end of the campaign."
Inter currently sit second in the Serie A table, trailing leaders Juventus by one point.
