Pioli: We need to be aggressive against Juventus
The Bologna coach has warned his players that every touch will need to be met with tenacity if they are to get anything from the game
Stefano Pioli has demanded his side display aggression ahead of their clash with Juventus on Wednesday night.Bologna travel to Juventus Stadium after a string of three successive defeats, and the 47-year-old understands that his men will have to show the same level of character he saw in their 3-1 loss to Inter.
"In Turin, every action must be faced with tenacity and aggression, as this is going to take a significant performance. Every ball could be decisive,” he told reporters at a press conference.
"We are taking on the strongest team in Serie A, so must have the same spirit we showed against Inter.
“That performance was positive and we must continue in that vein to have consistency. We must learn to carry the starting mentality all the way through to the end of games."
After nine games, Bologna are sat in 18th place in Serie A, while the Bianconeri are three points clear at the top.
