Moratti: No controversy between Inter & Juventus
The Nerazzurri chief is eagerly anticipating Saturday's game versus their arch-rivals, and hopes his side can continue their impressive run of form
Inter president Massimo Moratti has voiced his respect for Juventus and made it clear that there are no issues between the two sides at the moment. Both clubs have had a tense relationship for years, with the Calciopoli scandal only further damaging their rapport, and Moratti has been involved in a war of words with Bianconeri chief Andrea Agnelli more than once.
However, the Nerazzurri supremo is keen to leave all the problems of the past behind, and is eagerly anticipating this weekend's Serie A match versus his side's arch-rivals.
"There's no controversy between Inter and Juventus at the moment. We steer away from controversy with Juve," Moratti told reporters.
"I hope we can go into this weekend's game with the mindset of two teams where one has already given ample demonstration of how good they are, and are current Scudetto holders, and the other are trying to emerge and show how good they can be.
"We thought we'd start well but take a bit longer to get the team clicking than we have done. I hope it will be a decent match on a sporting level."
Inter will lock horns with Sampdoria on Wednesday, before taking on Juventus at the weekend.
