Italy midfielder Riccardo Montolivo is pleased to have finally got on the scoresheet this season.
The AC Milan star was denied a splendid strike in the Milan derby earlier this month after an alleged foul on Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, which provoked post-match controversy.
However, the 27-year-old scored a fine long-range goal in Italy's 3-1 home victory over Denmark to leave the Azzurri top of World Cup qualifying Group B.
"I'm happy, this time my goal has not has been disallowed," he said to reporters after the game.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani also made a sarcastic jibe at Italian referees: "I said to [Marcello] Nicchi [the head of the referees] that in Uefa & Fifa competitions, goals such as Montolivo's are validated."
The Rossoneri have endured their worst league start in over 80 years and travel to high-flying Lazio on Saturday evening.
