Ambrosini: I never even considered leaving AC Milan

The veteran midfielder has insisted that he did not even think about saying farewell to the Rossoneri and stated that he's determined to deal with the challenges at hand
Massimo Ambrosini has stressed that leaving AC Milan in the summer transfer window was never an option for him.

Experienced players such as Gianluca Zambrotta, Alessandro Nesta, Gennaro Gattuso, Clarence Seedorf and Filippo Inzaghi all departed the Rossoneri after the 2011-12 campaign, but Ambrosini did not consider saying farewell to the San Siro side as well.

"Leaving the club never entered my head," the 35-year-old was quoted as saying by Forza Milan.

"In fact it was my heart that ruled my head, even though I knew it would be somewhat of a different season ahead.

"I knew we would have difficulties but what makes life so wonderful is dealing with problems.

"The structure within the club promotes a sense of belonging. I cannot say what it is like at other clubs, but all I know is that everyone who has played here has said that there is a family atmosphere.

"All I can say is that as a club Milan are very well organised in every area."

Ambrosini has a contract with the Serie A giants until June 2013.
