Luca Toni believes that Fiorentina are capable of finishing in a Europa League spot this season.
The 35-year-old has contributed one goal to a very promising start to the season for his side, who currently sit in sixth place after seven games.
"I think that getting to the Europa League this season would be a great achievement," explained Toni, speaking to Corriere Fiorentino.
"We do not take it for granted however, it's going to be a long, difficult season, there are a few places and a lot of good teams."
Speaking about his side's in-form forward Stevan Jovetic, Toni had only positive things to say - apart from admitting that his team-mate could be a little less selfish in front of goal.
"He has the potential to become a great player, he has impressive qualities. The thing is that he always wants to improve. The team has been built around him and he is in the ideal situation," he explained.
"I seem to think that this may be his season to become really important. Sometimes, he wants to overdo it at the beginning of a passage of play, when it is much easier to score inside the area."
Toni also had constructive criticism for young winger Adem Llajic, who is yet to score during the current campaign.
"I told him that if he plays in games as he does in training, he will become a great player," he added.
