The Rossoblu striker was pleased with his performance in his side's draw against Palermo and is aiming to earn a recall to the national side
The striker has seven Italy caps to his name, after making his debut for the national team back in 2008, and is now determined to force his way back into Cesare Prandelli's plans.
"Prandelli knew me at a particular moment of my football life. I'd love to get a second chance," Borriello told Sky Sport Italia.
The former AC Milan player was pleased with his goal against Palermo but was also unhappy with Genoa's inability to take their chances.
"There is the satisfaction of having won a point that has moved the rankings, even though we created many scoring opportunities and didn't win," he added.
