thumbnail Hello,

The Nerazzurri boss was regretful following his side's inability to claim all three points on Thursday night, while expressing his frustration at their home record

Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni apologised to the club's fans after his side could only manage a draw against Rubin Kazan in their opening Europa League match.

The Italians had to twice fight back after going behind, with Yuto Nagatomo's injury-time equaliser salvaging a point for the 2010 Champions League winners.

“Personally I'm sorry not to give the joy of victory,” Stramaccioni told reporters from Sky Sport Italia in an interview.

Inter have struggled at home so far this season having failed to win on four occasions now, which is something the former youth coach laments.

“Obviously it bothers us not to win at home. It seems like simplistic analysis, but we were punished by two episodes," he continued.

“Every game has its own story. We have always gone behind early in games played at home this season, but I do not think our approach was wrong as we created several chances before they scored.”

Stramaccioni's side will travel to Neftchi Baku in the next round of Europa League games to be played on October 4.
